CREATING YOUR CLOTHING
Adriano's tailoring service is a close, personal and social experience. Here are the steps we take you through:
1) Your first consultation
In this session you will meet for a coffee with Adriano and Maria to discuss your vision for the piece or collection you desire. You will select a fabric from our range of quality swatches, and discuss the cut and style of garment, as well as any individual details you require. Adriano will take a full measurement, while assessing and discussing your body shape, how you wear your clothes, where they'll be worn, and your preferences to gain an overall picture of your needs.
2) Tailoring
Adriano will draw up the paper patterns for your garment and order in the fabrics. He will cut and hand-sew the garment, placing the inner canvases but leaving details unfinished. This stage usually takes a number of weeks.
3) Fitting
Once the tailor-made or bespoke garment is ready, you are called in for a first fitting to assess fit, appearance and comfort.
4) Finishing
After the first fitting, adjustments are made to the garment, and details such as pockets, buttons and buttonholes are finished.
5) Final Fitting
For bespoke garments only, a final fitting is arranged and adjustments are made before the garment is presented to you.
At any stage, you are most welcome to drop in and share a coffee with Adriano and Maria, or watch the master tailor at work and see your piece taking shape.
